Q: What versions of Windows does Timeclock Solutions work with?
A: Timeclock Solutions is your complete Windows time management system. TCS
works equally well with Windows 98, NT 4.0, 2000 or XP. Click

Q: I want a networkable version of Timeclock Solutions. Is one available? What
networks does Timeclock Solutions work with?
A: Yes, a networkable version of TCS is available for download. TCS 1.2
has been designed to work on your Windows and Windows NT networks. Instructions
for setting up TCS on a network are available by

Q: When I try to open TCS I get an error that says The database cannot be
opened because it is missing or corrupt. How do I fix that?
A: TCS displays this message whenever it cannot find the database file. Be sure the database
is in the correct location and the path to it is set properly.
Q: Where can I find instructions for configuring TCS to run on my network?

Q: My employees work set shifts during each pay period. Can Timeclock Solutions
make filling out my employees timecards easier?
A: Absolutely. Use the AutoShift feature in the Administrator to set
your employees shift hours. Filling out a timecard for your employees
has never been easier.

Q: I'd like to fill out an employees timecard for an entire pay period in
advance. Does Timeclock Solutions allow me to work ahead of my scheduled
pay period closing dates?
A: Yes. TCS has the unique AutoFill function with which you can fill out
an employee's timecard for any time period, weeks, months, even years in
advance. When it's time to print out the timecard, simply enter the correct
period start and end dates, and the previously generated times will be
included in the timecard. It's that easy.

Q: How often should my employees print their timecards?
A: Employees can print timecards any time by using the Print Timecard button
on the TCS Timeclock.

Q: What are the minimum and maximum number of Administrators I can have for
Timeclock Solutions?
A: With TCS you can have as few as 1 (there is a built-in TCS Administrator)
or as many as you like. To grant a user administrative access, simply
supply a password for the employee in the Employee Tab of the Administrator.
The TCS Administrator will do the rest. The optimal number of administrators
will depend on your business requirements.

Q: I have an employee record that shows up as a 0 (zero) in the timecard. What
happened and how do I fix that problem?
A: The employee has forgotten to log in or out. This problem is common and can be
easily fixed by using the administrator's update time records functions. See
the Administrator User's Guide, Section 9, How To - Modify a Timecard.
Q: I have an employee record that has the value 12:00 1/1/1899 in the timecard.
What happened and how do I fix that problem?
A: The employee has forgotten to log in or out. This problem is common and can be
easily fixed by using the administrator's update time records functions. See
the Administrator User's Guide, Section 9, How To - Modify a Timecard.
Q: My copy of Timeclock Solutions does not print reports. How can I
enable the printing functions?
A: You must purchase a registration number and register your copy of Timeclock
Solutions. Printing will be enabled once the program is registered. You can
purchase your copy of TCS 1.2

Q: I'm having problems calculating time periods that span midnight for my
swing shift employees. Does Timeclock Solutions have a bug?
A: Yes. TCS 1.0 has an error in the calculation engine when time records
span midnight. A correction for this problem is available with TCS version
1.1. If you previously purchased TCS 1.0, simply download version 1.1,
install it and re-register with the same registration code.
Q: My employees don't work a standard 9 -5 shift. Can TCS handle different
shift lengths?
A: Yes. TCS 1.2 has been improved with the ability to handle any shift length
that your employees. It's easier than ever to setup TCS to handle four 10
hour day shifts or work weeks of more than 5 days.
Q: Many of my employees work overtime. How does TCS handle overtime
calculations?
A: TCS 1.2 includes the option of setting your own overtime thresholds. If
your employees work four 10 hour days with overtime paid on a weekly basis,
TCS can handle it. If your employees work a 9-5 schedule with standard 30
minute lunches and 15 minute breaks, TCS can handle it. And with TCS' revised
TimeCard report, it's easier than ever to track exactly what hours your
employees have worked.
